Vergelegen wine estate’s glass conservatory will be the elegant venue for an unforgettable evening of fine music, on Thursday June 12, with a performance of the Charl du PlessisTrio’s latest production, Bach & Beatles.

Blending classical, jazz, and pop music, the Trio have earned international acclaim andmultiple awards for their innovative performances.

Bach & Beatles will present interpretations of Beatles hits such as Yesterday, Hey Jude, and A Hard Day’s Night, alongside timeless works by Johann Sebastian Bach, including the Toccata in D minor, Air on the G String, and Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.

The Charl du Plessis Trio comprises pianist Charl du Plessis, bassist Werner Spies and drummer Peter Auret.

The Trio was formed in 2006 to promote crossover and jazz music ,fuelled by musical chemistry and an understanding of each others’ musical personalities. The Trio perform throughout Southern Africa and tour regularly to Europe and Eastern Asia.

They have recorded nine albums and two DVDs and have an international recording contract with Swiss label Claves. Their recordings have received multiple awards, including four South African Music Awards (SAMAs), a Ghoema and a kykNET Fiësta.

The concert is from 6pm to 8pm, and tickets cost R695, including a glass of Vergelegen wine, and canapés on arrival. Tickets are available at www.vergelegen.co.za/events
