Staff at Helderberg Hospice each received a gift of appreciation on Valentine’s Day, as chocolate hearts were distributed to honour their tireless commitment to compassionate palliative care in the community.

Every staff member was included and valued for the important role they play as part of the team.

“Every single member of our team plays a crucial role in providing care to our patients,” CEO Robert de Wet said.

“Today’s gesture is just a small way of showing our deep appreciation for their dedication.”

The spirit of love and generosity included the Helderberg Hospice retail shops, where beautifully decorated stores created a festive and inviting atmosphere.

To mark the occasion, customers enjoyed special Valentine’s Day promotions, allowing everyone in the community to be part of the Have a Heart for Hospice initiative.

Expanding beyond traditional Valentine's celebrations, Helderberg Hospice has designated the entire month for community engagement and support of professional palliative care services.
