Strand library to host talks from three authors in October

Author Chanette Paul, from the Garden Route will be talking about her newly published book Deja’vu on Tuesday, October 14, at the Strand library at 11am. The book offers a mix of romance, history, and suspense to captivate readers. The inspiration for the story was drawn from a real family, but the details in the novel are fictional.

Strand Library will host a series of author talks this October, featuring three writers.

Chanette Paul will discuss her newly published novel Déjà Vu on Tuesday, October 14, followed by Hendie Grobbelaar, who will speak about her book Wilde Vere on Friday, October 17. The series will conclude with Gerda Taljaard, who will present her latest release, Die Grafdigter, on Tuesday, October 21. All sessions will start at 11am.

Hendie Grobbelaar also from the Garden Route will be talking about her Wilde Vere book on Friday, October 17 at the Strand library at 11am. This is Ms Grobbelaar’s debut novel. In the book, Pop’s chicken farm suffers major damage, Sue doesn’t find the information she hoped for, and someone is after the plot. Sue finds an anchor in the unfamiliar South Africa, in Pop’s chicken farm – and Maria Magdalena becomes her anchor and confidante.

Gerda Taljaard from Pretoria will take audience from her new book Die grafdigter on Tuesday, October 21 at the Strand library at 11am. This is a captivating contemporary novel with historical and fairytale elements. Her previous novel, Vier susters, won several awards and sold well.
