Halloween night run through Muratie forest

On Friday November 1, Dirtopia presents the Halloween Forest Night Run at Muratie Wine Estate with themed décor, live music, trick or treating and adventures in the dark!

Wear a fun costume, a mask or perhaps some face-painting and enter the 5km (hikers and children welcome) or 10km that starts 7.30pm after sunset.

The Halloween Forest Night run has been ‘running’ since 2013 and if you have never been, you must experience Muratie’s singletrack at night and test your nerves with a work-out on contour trails, while dodging the ghosts…

All runners must wear a light on their head... its dark out there, as the moon only rises after 10.30pm!

When runners return to the finish they get free Coke, a medal and rocking music from local Stellenbosch band, Akkedis.

Muratie’s wine will be for sale per glass or per bottle and craft beers; while there will be grab’n go meals like burgers & chips for sale.

Vouchers for the best dressed Halloween costumes from presenting sponsor, Sportsmans Warehouse, plus prizes for top three menand& women in each distance, and lucky draws. Stand a chance to win quality running socks from Falke and wines from Muratie Estate.

Runners can choose if you want to be timed for results or not. A photographer will be present to capture the memories in the enchanted forest of Muratie wine farm.

This historic Stellenbosch farm is the perfect venue, with its historic feel and old-world charm. It has always been an unforgettable Halloween evening and promises more fun memories in 2024.
