The University of the Third Age (U3A) in the Helderberg region is expected to host Debbie Laubscher for a presentation on Thursday, September 4.
U3A Helderberg is a branch of this international movement whose aims are the education and stimulation of mainly retired members of the community, those in their third 'age' of life.
Ms Laubscher will provide an insight into the theme, 'The Use, Application, and Training of Artificial Intelligence,' at the Somerset West United Church, located on the corner of Andries and Bright Streets in Somerset West.
Ms Laubscher is a founder of a computer training company that she has been running for more than 18 years. Her company has short courses that empower clients with Microsoft 365 skills.
She has also published guides and free e-books about computer skills, and during the event, she will bring that same passion to the world of Artificial Intelligence.
The event will take place from 10am until noon. Members need to wear their membership cards and are requested to contribute R10, while non-members are requested to contribute R15. Tea/Coffee and refreshments will be available from 9:30am.
