■ In her exhibition “Fragments of a Residency” at IS Art, 11 Huguenot Street, Franschhoek, Michèle Nigrini pieces together by way of impressions, doodles, sketches and paintings the remnants and reflections of her Parisienne residency at the Cite international des Arts. In the works presented, Michèle reminisces about the moments and fragments of everyday life which she experienced during her residency. She presents a collection of cluttered imagery depicting primarily the Parisienne architecture as it has been formed and fashioned by centuries of thriving life. Michèle captures the innate energy of her muse in her own renowned style of line, mark and colour – the essence of Paris. The exhibition runs until Sunday September 3. Entry is free.
