■ Helderberg Village Music Society will present a concert titled Chiaroscuro: Songs from the 16th and 17th centuries, featuring Cape Town-based husband and wife duo, Lutesong, on Sunday May 6, at 4pm. Lente Louw, left, is a classically trained mezzo soprano and Uwe Grosser, right, is a lutenist, theorbo player, lute builder and early music specialist. Lutesong is dedicated to performances of English, Italian, German, Spanish and French lute song repertoire from the 16th and 17th centuries. Tickets cost R80 for non-members and R30 for students.
