Stellenbosh Air Show puts on magnificent aerial display

Staff Reporter|Published

The Flying Lions Aerobatic team entertained crowds with their aerial aerobatics at sunset, magically set against the backdrop of a crimson sky.

The Stellenbosch Air Show took place on Friday March 26 and Saturday March 27, at the Stellenbosch Flying Club along Airfield Road, on the R44. Crowds attending the sold out show were treated to two days of fantastic aerial displays.

Performances were done by The Marksmen Aerobatic Team based at Morningstar Airfield, who executed a faultless world quality aerobatic performance to entertain those in attendance.

Other show highlights included a performance by The Flying Lions Aerobatic Team, who used North American Harvard aircraft, to entertain spectators and produce faultless performances.

The air show is an annual family friendly event organised by the Stellenbosch Flying Club. For more photos and videos of the 2022 air show visit, the Stellenbosch Flying Club Facebook page and for more information on the club go to, stelfly.co.za
