Parel Vallei High School pupil Jared Slater in Grade 11, competed in the Pan African Mathematics Olympiad (PAMO) as part of the South African team. The PAMO took place in June in Benguerir, Morocco. The SA team brought home three Silver and two Bronze Medals and was ranked 3rd out of nine participating countries. Jared, was one of the silver medalist winners and scored an overall 10th place.
Benjamin Kleyn in Grade 12 at Parel Vallei High School participated in the The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), which took place in July in Oslo, Norway. The South African team participating in the IMO was ranked 63rd out of 104 participating countries. Benjamin got an honourable mention
