KroesRocks Day Out celebrates natural hair

The KroesRocks Day Out is a celebration of natural hair and the natural hair movement says KroesRocks founder, Simone Thomas.

The event was sponsored by several sponsors and a national radio station.

Festival goers were treated to panel discussions, guest speakers, and musical performances by The Black Ties, Salome, and Youngstacpt.

Each ticket holder received a gift bag and could access masterclasses as well as receive a free hair cut from Legends Barber at the event or have their hair styled at the Slay Station.

Chloe Busby from Mitchells Plain enjoys playing around with different hairstyles.

Charmaine van der Walt from Kuils River says she enjoyed the event.

Lizette Booys, known online as Wiskunde Juffie, from Eerste River, shows off her new hairstyle. Festival goers could have their hair styled at the Camille Rose Slay Station.
