The HYPROP MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience, the largest national mall-based gaming tournament in South Africa, kicked off with an electrifying start at Somerset Mall. Winners in the first round were announced. The spotlight shone brightly on the EAFC tournament, where the first place winner was Athenkosi Duva, pictured above. Athenkosi secured his place in the national finale, set to take place at Canal Walk from September 11 to September 15, later this year.

The first leg of this groundbreaking series saw intense competition among gamers from the Western Cape, setting the stage for an epic journey to the national finals. Second place winner in the EAFC tournament was Reatile Thakholi.
Taking the third place winning spot was Miekaaiel Saban.The Somerset Mall event was a hotbed of excitement and camaraderie. While EAFC drew the largest crowd, gamers also showcased their skills in a variety of other competitions.
