The Stone Soup NPO has again assisted the community of Sir Lowry’s Pass, which involved preparing meals to local school, Kingdom Kids, according to Monique Fourie, one of the co-founders, along with Anene Swart and Siobhan Brown.
They expressed their appreciation to the team from Life Path Health, for once again helping Stone Soup in its mission.
Together, they donated over 60 litres of stew and 55 litres of rice, making a huge difference to the Sir Lowry's Pass community.
Monique asked Zelna from Kingdom Kids how they distribute the meals, and she shared that she simply blows a whistle at the gate —and soon, children from the community come running with whatever container they can find, excited for the delicious meal.
"It’s truly heartwarming to be part of something so meaningful. We are incredibly proud to assist the children and families in need, and we appreciate the community's support in making this possible. Together we 'Stir up Change'.
During the last event, Stone Soup fed children at Solomon Qatyana Primary School in Strand.
They would appreciate any donations or support to help them achieve their goal, and can be contacted at 079 663 7459 to get involved.
