At Station Bargain Warehouse, they're known for their wide range of fabrics and haberdashery—but there’s another side to the business that’s just as important: community upliftment and skills development.
Through their "Declutter & Donate" programme, they’ve helped countless rural communities by distributing donated fabric (even small off-cuts), haberdashery, and craft supplies to organisations far and wide.
They also repurpose scrap fabric into pet cushions to support local animal welfare groups.
One of the inspiring organisations they work with is the Grassroots Hope Foundation in Richmond, where they feed hundreds daily and run skill-building programs for young people - real hope in action.
Recently, they received a shipment of bicycles from overseas, which was a huge joy for the kids. But as any parent knows… bikes and teens need one vital thing: helmets.
Station Bargain Warehouse are now on a mission to collect old or unused bicycle helmets to keep them safe, so if you have a helmet lying around, please consider donating it.
And if you’re heading through the Karoo and are willing to help transport a box or two of donations, please get in touch with them, either by visiting the store at 64 Dirkie Uys Street (on the corner of Burg Street), or calling them at 021 852 3057.
