City advises of critical Lwandle electricity work

Residents of Lwandle, in Strand are advised of a disruption in their electrictity supply next week on Thursday, June 26.

According to a City statement, the disruption in the supply will be as a result of maintenance on esssential infrastructure and will affect the Lwandle area on Thursday from 6am to 6pm, if all goes according to plan. 

Residents are advised to for the full duration of this time, treat all electrical installations as live, as the electricity supply could be restored at any time.

Furthermore, the City encourages residents to switch off electrical appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.

The City apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their cooperation and understanding.
