Somerset West library turns 60

Somerset West library will be celebrating its 60th birthday on Monday, October 6. 

The library will mark this milestone with a programme of festivities that honours the library’s history while looking forward to its future as a modern community hub, according to Rene Walker, area head for Helderberg district libraries. 

“For six decades, the library has stood as a cornerstone of knowledge, community, and lifelong learning, serving generations of readers and learners in Somerset West,” said Ms Walker.
