The internationally-known landscaper and botanist, Leon Kluge, will be the guest speaker at the Hottentots Holland Garden Club meeting on Wednesday, November 12, at 10am, at the Dutch Reformed Church, Gordon Road, Somerset West.
Mr Kluge led a South African team that won Gold, Best on Show, and Best Lighting at the 2024 Singapore Garden Festival – Asia's largest floral event – with its fantasy garden, "Between Two Worlds."
He also achieved Gold at the Horticultural World Cup in Japan in 2013, as well as the Best on Show prize. He is also well-known for his annual triumphs at the Chelsea Flower Show, a world-renowned annual event that takes place in England, showcasing garden designs, new plants, and floral arrangements.
Mr Kluge's latest project is Between Two Worlds at Hazendal Wine Estate, an immersive garden installation that celebrates the beauty of the plant kingdom.
He was recently honoured with the South African Landscapers Institute (SALI)'s National Judge's Discretionary Award 2025 for elevating South African landscape design onto the world stage.
