Stellenbosch areas to face full-day power outage during Eskom maintenance

Eskom has announced that technicians will carry out planned network maintenance on Wednesday, December 10, from 5am to 9pm.

During this period, electricity supply to affected areas will be switched off. If the maintenance cannot occur on that day due to unforeseen circumstances, it will be rescheduled for Wednesday, December 17, Eskom said in a statement.

The following areas will be affected: Bonniemile, Cloetesville, Devon Valley, De Zalze, Idas Valley, Jamestown, Jonkershoek, Koelenhof, Koelpark, Knorhoek, Kylemore, Lanquedoc, Stellenbosch town, and Vlottenburg.

Customers are advised to treat all electrical equipment and supply points as live, as power may be restored at any time before the scheduled outage ends.
