Kristin Williamson from Somerset West was named Dux Scholar of Rhenish Girls’ High School for the Class of 2025, cementing her status as the top-achieving pupil in the matric cohort.
She passed with an average of 95.7%. The school confirmed that she was one of the 14 candidates who achieved an average of over 90%.
Kristin, who will be studying the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at Stellenbosch University, is one of the top achievers who will be honoured at the Western Cape National Senior Certificate 2025 Awards Ceremony on Thursday, January 29.
Her mother Kerry, said, "We are very proud of her. She has worked very hard and she is highly dedicated to her school work, as well as her athletics. She represented Boland as a long jumper last year."
Premier Alan Winde and Western Cape Education MEC David Maynier will host the awards ceremony at Leeuwenhof in Cape Town, the Premier’s Residence.
