Helderberg Rotary Anns recently donated a number of knitted baby jerseys to Mama Themba, a Somerset West–based health programme operating under the auspices of the Thembalitsha Foundation.
The programme provides care bags to new mothers at three state hospitals, and the donation is expected to further support this initiative.
Mama Themba project manager, Lindy Officer, expressed her appreciation to Helderberg Rotary Anns for their continued support.
“They have supported us for many years and operate with the highest integrity,” she said.
Ms Officer added that the organisation is currently in need of baby items such as size 1 nappies, new or gently used baby clothing (sizes 0–3), baby blankets, sanitary pads, baby jelly, unscented aqueous cream, baby soap, baby wash, as well as financial assistance.
