The Helderberg Sunrise Rotary Club celebrated a proud moment when Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo visited Oklahoma Primary School in Macassar on Friday, January 30.

The club’s computer room project at the school was one of only two initiatives selected to be showcased during President Arezzo’s visit to Rotary District 9350.

President Arezzo praised the project, saying it exemplified the meaningful work that Rotary undertakes to change lives in local communities.

He was accompanied by his wife, Anna Maria Arezzo, Rotary International Director for Zones 21 and 22, Daniel Tanase, and District 9350 Governor Pam Rawbone.

The Helderberg Sunrise Rotary Club said the visit was a proud recognition of its efforts to create opportunity and hope through community service, and thanked all members and partners who contributed to making the project a reality.

"Moments like these remind us why we do what we do - service that creates opportunity, dignity, and hope," said Brian de Villiers, the secretary of Helderberg Sunrise Rotary Club.
