Experience the Sunset to Full Moon Hike at Muratie Wine Estate

Hikers will have the opportunity to experience sunset and moonrise on the trails of Muratie Wine Estate during the Sunset to Full Moon Hike on Sunday, March 1.

Participants will follow a clearly marked 3.5km circular route leading to a lookout point above the cellar, climbing more than 200 hand-built steps along the way. The route offers sweeping views of Simonsberg, the Winelands and even Table Mountain.

The hike is presented by Dirtopia, an outdoor adventure company, and begins at 7:20pm. The full moon is expected to be visible from the lookout shortly after 7pm.

Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic and a blanket to enjoy the views. Muratie wines will be available for purchase at the lookout point, and the return walk through the forest will be done by headlamp.

Arrival is from 5:15pm, with the latest start at 6:15pm. Entry costs R160 for adults and R80 for children under the age of 10.
