The beloved children’s production, The Emperor’s New Clothes, returns to The Drama Factory this month with two shows performed during the school holidays.
Audiences can expect to enjoy this fresh take on the well-loved tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
Directed by Sue Diepeveen and with a distinctly South African flavour, actors Henu Badenhorst and Jessie Diepeveen take young audiences on a journey behind the scenes at the emperor’s palace.
His majesty is a vain man, obsessed with his looks and living a great life, he doesn’t care too much about his subjects. Along comes Charlotte who decides to expose him for the world to see. Can she convince him that that she is making him a magical cloak which is only visible to clever people? To find out, come and join in on the family fun.
The shows will be performed at the Children’s Theatre on Friday December 15 and Saturday December 16, at 11am. Tickets cost R100 each and R80 each for groups of four or more.
Bookings for the show can be made online at www.thedramafactory.co.za or contact 073 215 2290 to book and for more information.
The Drama Factory is situated at 10 Comprop Square, Henry Vos Close, Asla Business Park, Strand. Parking is available at the venue.
