A fitness competition was recently held for the children of Casablanca residential area in Strand by the Crime Against Sport South Africa organisation, (Sacsa) in partnership with Securite, and members of the Strand and Gordon’s Bay Police. The day at a public park in Cassie Street, kicked off with a relay race, followed by other sport activities and challenges. Here fitness programme facilitator, sergeant Patty Pretorius, from Strand Police demonstrates her weightlifting skills to impressed onlookers.
Children from all ages participated in the fitness challenge on Saturday November 5. The day’s programme included a safety talk by Col Khunjulwa Khanyile, the Strand Police station commander.
