Singer Jannie du Toit and some of his renowned musical friends took to the stage at the Drostdy Theatre in Stellenbosch last Thursday, September 12, for a fund-raising concert in support of the National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD).

NCPD national director, Therina Wentzel, welcomed the guests and thanked a long list of sponsors including the owners of the Drostdy Theatre, Ingrid and Neels Howard, for making the theatre available for the event. “Thank you for doing so much for the community, we appreciate that,” she said.
On stage during the performances are Jannie du Toit, joined by singers of the Franzsens family band, Karin and Riël Franzsen.
Renowned South African pianist and singer Laurinda Hofmeyr, was one of the esteemed South African artists who performed at the fund-raiser.
Enjoying the show were guests from left, Marietjie Turck and Luzette van Niekerk, from Strand, and Erna Möller from Somerset West.

Jannie du Toit entertained the audience with some of the most beloved South African songs, as well as those from his former folk group, Trilogie. He ended off the show with his hit song, ’n Liedjie Vir Jou. Jannie highlighted the great work of the NCPD, particularly Casual Day, to raise funds for the organisation, and he encouraged the audience to continue supporting their work.
