One of the unique delicacies of the Boland is the locally grown, waterblommetjie indigenous edible plant used in a range of delicious recipes. The Boland town of Paarl will be celebrating spring with the return of the annual Waterblommetjie Festival on Saturday September 3.
Three local wine farms (Rhebokskloof, Windmeul Kelder and Domain Brahms Wineries) have joined forces to showcase this indigenous, seasonal delicacy and will offer a fun-filled line-up for the whole family on the day from 9am to 4pm. Be sure to make your way to Paarl to feast on this locally loved delicacy.
Then on weekends, women visiting the Rhebokskloof wine estate will be treated to a complimentary glass of Flatrock Sparkle on arrival, an offer only available for the month of August, in honour of Women’s Month.
