Ruswahl is a star

National long jump ace Ruswahl Samaai, who hails from the Boland, was named one of the University of Johannesburg sports stars of the year at a gala function at the Randpark Golf Club in Johannesburg, on Thursday October 11. It was the third year in a row that Samaai received the Sportsman of the Year accolade, earned after claiming a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in
Australia in April. The 27-year-old Samaai, who is a fourth year logistics student, has performed at an international level since he took bronze in the long jump at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
