Celebrated performer Duck Chowles, will, after an absence of 2 years, be back at The Drama Factory in Strand, with two of his shows this weekend.
Duck Chowles produced the musical Roll over Beethoven and now produces and directs all Barnyard Theatre Productions. Who does not remember Eastern Cape-born-rock-and-roll artist, Duck Chowles, who performed in the hit show, Sixty Something, at The Dock Road Theatre, and became recognized as the chameleon of Rock ’n Roll, for his impersonations of various icons, especially of Mick Jagger, Jim Morrison and John Lennon?
Guitar maestro, Andy Murray, has together with Duck Chowles, been at the forefront of the South African entertainment industry for more than 3 decades.
They started working together in 1993 at The National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, with Sticky Fingers: A Tribute to The Rolling Stones, and continued performing together in countless hit shows such as Sixty Something, Roll Over Beethoven, Glory Days, Station 70 and many more.
Duck and Andy’s perfect harmony blend for The Beatles sound is one of their trademarks, and they toured the show, The Fab 4- A Tribute to The Beatles throughout South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia and had sell-out performances.
Duck Chowles and Andy Murray will be joined on stage by The Retro Rewind Band, featuring musicians, Alan Llyod on drums, Karl Hering on bass and Lynne Poulson-Blamire on keys and lead vocals.

Shows, The Sixties & Seventies Revolution will take place on Saturday August 24, at 7.30pm and Here Comes The Sun: Tribute to The Beatles & Simon and Garfunkel will take place on Sunday August 25, at 4pm.
