Visitors can get to know the dazzling starry sky – specifically the sparkling Orion – during the Afrikaans Language Museum and Monument’s (ATM’s) stargazing picnic on Paarl Mountain on Saturday, 26 February. Visitors will explore the galaxy with the help of the Orion Observation Group (OOG) whose friendly members like to share their knowledge and telescopes for free. The focus is on the great Orion Nebula. The event starts at 6pm thereafter visitors can stare into the skies from 8pm until10.30pm. Entrance fees are R50 per adult and R10 for under-18s.
