Stellenbosch Flying Club is once again holding an airshow on Friday March 22 and Saturday March 23. The Friday program is from 4pm to 7 pm, ending in a spectacular twilight display.
If you have time to make a full day of the Airshow, the Saturday program is packed with displays from 9am to 5pm.
Planes on flight display will include Aerobatic types like the Gamebird, Sbach, Extra 300 and the L29 Jet.
Vintage types include the Piper Cub, Stearman, Howard DGA, and the mighty Antonov-2 Biplane with its rumbling 1000hp radial engine.
There will also be ex-Military planes like the Bosbok, Albatross and the Flying Lion’s Harvard formation, to mention just a few, and a Working On Fire Kishugu fire fighting demonstration.
Tickets are available from Quicket and will be sold out soon. No tickets on the day at the gate. Special parking arrangements will allow access only from Annandale road, not the R44.
Live commentary will be broadcast at the show and also streamed on Radio Cape Town.co.za
