Jacob Rumble will speak on “The Expanding Consciousness” at the next service of the Somerset West Unitarian Fellowship, on Sunday May 6, at 10.30am, at Vonke House, Lourensford Road. Jacob and his late wife Monica became members of the Cape Town Unitarian Church in 1979. They were some of the first members of colour to join the church in the days of apartheid. Over the years, they have provided great inspiration for the congregation.
Jacob says: “We grow daily as we reflect on life and build awareness, getting to know ourselves better, tackling our
fears, changing habits, and making conscious choices to
better our lives. A change in one’s consciousness is not measured in time but in awareness. This talk is about expanding consciousness, about reconnecting with our inner-self, and about self-awareness.” All are welcome, and entry is free. A donation is taken afterwards.
